Deputies looking for 'armed and dangerous' fugitive

SYRACUSE, N.Y. (WSYR-TV) - The Onondaga County Sheriff’s Office is looking for a fugitive who is wanted for a seemingly minor crime, but is considered “armed and dangerous.”

62-year-old Ronald Clemens has a warrant out for his arrest on a first-degree aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle charge.

“While that doesn't seem to be a real serious charge, Mr. Clemens is well known to the law enforcement community— he's been arrested 65 times,” said Sgt. Mike Norton with the Sheriff’s Office.

He’s been arrested for things like burglary, larceny, DWI, forgery, disorderly conduct and resisting arrest.

In an email, Norton said that Clemens has been known to assault police, resist arrest and should be considered armed and dangerous.

Clemens is a roofer by trade, and goes wherever there is work.

His last known address was 136 Worth Avenue in Solvay.

He is 5’08” and weighs 180 pounds. He’s got tattoos on his right forearm and chest.

Clemens sometimes goes by the aliases of Ronald Covall, Larry Clemens or “Satch.”

If you have any information on his whereabouts, you can call the Onondaga County Sheriff’s Warrants Unit anonymously at 315-435-3032.
