Expect traffic changes during Euclid Avenue reconstruction project

SYRACUSE, N.Y. (WSYR-TV) - The City of Syracuse will begin a reconstruction project on Euclid Avenue on Tuesday.

The long-anticipated project will result in the creation of new bike lanes along the avenue.

Beginning Tuesday, DPW crews will begin cutting and digging for new curbs.

During the course of the project, no parking signs will be posted along the street.

Traffic will be reduced to one lane or detoured intermittently.

Work will begin between Westcott Street and Maryland Avenue and proceed to Lancaster Avenue.
