Feds: Kindergarten teacher stole kids' underwear from backpacks at camp

BROCKPORT, N.Y. (WROC-TV) - A Brockport kindergarten teacher was charged with receipt and distribution of child pornography after federal prosecutors found several DVDs containing videos and images of child pornography at his North Avenue residence in Hilton.

Roland Yockel, II, 30, lives in the basement of the home with his parents and siblings. His parents provide babysitting services at the home, prosecutors say.

According to a felony complaint, Yockel denied ever touching any of his students at school and the children in his care at the camp where he worked.

The complaint says that Yockel stole underwear from children's backpacks at the camp where he worked.

He stated that he "had sexual thoughts of his school kids, but his job meant too much to him."

Yockel admitted to playing "games" with a 5- to 7-year-old girl at the house where his mother babysat children.

He told investigators that he "was addicted to pornography and began to trade child pornography at some in the past."

According to the complaint, Yockel used an online chat room called Chatstep to receive and distribute child pornography.

The complaint alleges Yockel visited the site twice on May 22 and July 25 under the user name "Ryancba" and posted links to images of girls approximately 4-7 years of age.

Prosecutors traced the IP address back to Yockel's home.

Because Yockel had access to children, Homeland Security agents are asking for the public's help as they try to determine whether there are additional victims. Anyone with information is asked to call agents in Buffalo at 716-464-5923.
