Funeral held for Syracuse teen struck and killed in a hit-and-run

SYRACUSE (WSYR-TV) - Friends and family said their goodbyes today to a teen killed in a hit-and-run crash last week on North Salina Street in Syracuse.

The funeral for 18-year-old Seth Collier was held at the Thomas J. Pirro Funeral Home.

Collier was struck by a vehicle while he walked home from work at a local Burger King.

He died a couple of days later at Upstate University Hospital.

Police say he was hit by a car driven by 37-year-old Peter Rauch – a former investigator with the Onondaga County District Attorney’s office and former Liverpool Police Officer.

He is charged with leaving the scene of a deadly accident and is free after posting bail.
