Helicopter landing at Liverpool HS on Tuesday is part of an 'educational program'

The district says it is not an emergency situation

LIVERPOOL, N.Y. (WSYR-TV) - A helicopter will be landing at the Liverpool High School as part of an educational program.

The district is telling residents living in the area it is NOT a part of an emergency situation.

The helicopter is scheduled to land in the field outside the high school gym near the basketball courts around 9:20 a.m. on Tuesday.

Students will be given a presentation by a flight nurse and paramedic about providing a helicopter ambulance to people severely injured.

If it rains, the helicopter landing will take place on Wednesday.
