Jamesville-DeWitt and Sandy Creek softball fall in state semifinals

GLENS FALLS (WSYR-TV) - The Jamesville-DeWitt and Sandy Creek softball teams both came up just short in the New York state semifinals out in Glens Falls.

J-D fell to Williamsville East, 7-3, in the Class A semis.

Amanada and Andrea Sumida both went 1-for-3, with an RBI.

In Class C, Sandy Creek was upended by top-ranked Bishop Kearney, 3-2.

Starting pitcher Carly Stoker tossed 6 innings of 4-hit ball, allowing 3 earned runs, while striking out 11.

She also added a solo home run in the 6th inning.
