SALINA, N.Y. (WSYR-TV) - Lockheed Martin is looking to fill more than 100 positions in Syracuse. The company will hold a job fair Thursday looking for candidates.
The job fair will run from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m. on the 3rd Floor Canyon at Destiny USA.
Lockheed Martin Engineering Manager Matt Wilkowski says, “We had a lot of program wins last year, a lot of proposals that really went our way so we're really excited about that as well as looking into the future next year with proposals coming up and work that we're forecasting as well."
Lockheed Martin is not just looking for engineers now but also people to fill manufacturing roles building the radars as well as HVAC professionals and people for the finance department.
Wilkowski, “We have production lines with radars on them where we're setting up a raise and fixing them to trucks so really they can come out and get that better understanding of things like that, to understand how could I fit into that puzzle that's Lockheed Martin."
The jobs range from entry level to experienced professionals in the area interested in the various positions available right now at Lockheed Martin in Syracuse.
"We do draw from across the country but we're very excited about the opportunity to look locally as well." Wilkowski tells NewsChannel 9.
