Man wanted for allegedly beating ex-girlfriend with electric cord

SYRACUSE, N.Y. (WSYR-TV) - The Onondaga County Sheriff’s Office is looking for a man who is wanted for violating an order of protection after allegedly getting into a fight with an ex-girlfriend.

According to deputies, 48-year-old Thomas Jenkins violated an order of protection by going to a former girlfriend’s apartment in August 2016.

He allegedly confronted her in a parking lot and followed her into the apartment where deputies say he hit her with an electric cord, causing injury to her arms. Jenkins also allegedly threatened her with a screw driver.

Jenkins was charged with second-degree assault, fourth-degree criminal possession of a weapon and first-degree criminal contempt at that time. He failed to show up for court at a later date.

He has been arrested 54 times— 14 times for criminal contempt for violating a court order of protection.

Jenkins has been arrested on burglary, assault, damaging property and menacing charges.

He is 5’11”, weighs 145 pounds and has black hair and brown eyes. His last known address was 722 Pond Street in Syracuse.
