MANKATO, MN (WSYR-TV) -
Former Onondaga Central star Latavius Murray will start his tenure with the Minnesota Vikings on the sidelines.
Monday, Murray was placed on the physically unable to perform list by the Vikings.
Murray, had surgery in March to clean up a lingering ankle injury from last season.
He missed the Vikings' entire offseason program.
This past offseason Latavius Murray signed a three-year deal worth roughly $15 million to play for Minnesota.
Last season with the Oakland Raiders, Murray rushed for 788 yards and a career-high 12 touchdowns on 195 carries.
The Minnesota Vikings open up training camp on July 27th in Mankato, Minnesota.
