Only on 9: Meet the man moving to Cicero to run Chick-fil-A

CICERO (WSYR-TV) - Jimmer Szatkowki's switching from software to sandwiches. After 20 years at IBM, he's moving from North Carolina to Cicero to own and operate the new Chick-fil-A.

In his first-ever television interview, Szatkowski says:

"To be part of Chick-fil-A is really a dream come true for us. I can tell you this: my children are infinitely more interested in what I do for a living now than when I worked for IBM."

Szatkowki's family will join him after the school year, but he's here just in time. Construction on the building is entering its final months as the restaurant is scheduled to open in February.

There will be two drive-thru lanes and at the busiest times, workers with iPads will take orders outside car-by-car.

The first chain of the restaurant anywhere in Central New York will hire 100 people. 10 Cicero-North Syracuse high schoolers have already been selected. To apply, check out the restaurant's website.
