Paul Pasqualoni on Coach Mac: 'He just genuinely cared'

SYRACUSE, N.Y. (WSYR-TV) - Friends, family and fans lined up outside of Hendrick's Chapel at Syracuse University to say their goodbyes to the beloved Coach Dick MacPherson.

MacPherson died earlier this week at the age of 86.

Dozens of people lined outside the Chapel for calling hours on Thursday, some getting bussed in from other locations.

Paul Pasqualoni, who took over as head of the football program when Coach Mac left Syracuse, said, "He cared about people and cared about players and just genuinely cared. It wasn't about him, it was about the program and everybody associated with the program and it was all about Syracuse."

MacPherson's funeral will be held on Friday at Hendrick's Chapel beginning at 2 p.m.
