Police arrest 4 people involved in robbery on Centro Bus

SYRACUSE, N.Y. (WSYR-TV) - Syracuse Police responded to a robbery investigation involving a Centro Bus on the 3500 block of S. Salina Street on Friday around 4:35 PM.

Upon arriving, the victim reported to police that six or seven people attacked her and stole her iPhone.

Police said according to the victim, a female attempted to take the phone from her while she was on the bus. The victim told police that she pulled away and then a physical altercation began.

The victim stated that that is when other suspects began to punch her, spit on her and pull her hair. The victim said the suspects then dragged her off the bus and stole her phone.

Police said that upon further investigation, the victim and the police were able to find the phone via the “Find my iPhone” application.

According to police, the phone was found at 206 W. Colvin Street along with four of the suspects from the robbery.

Police say three 16 year olds and 18-year-old Alayjah O'Neal from Syracuse were all involved in the robbery and one of the 16-year-olds was later found in possession of the stolen phone.

That individual was charged with with Robbery in the Second Degree, Assault in the Second Degree and Criminal Possession of Stolen Property in the Fifth Degree.

O’Neal and the other teens were also arrested and charged with Robbery in the Second Degree and Assault in the Second Degree.

All four suspects were sent to Onondaga County Justice Center pending their arraignments.
