Police: Man stabbed in head, neck walks to Rescue Mission to call for help

SYRACUSE, N.Y. (WSYR-TV) - Syracuse Police say a man who was stabbed in the neck and head area walked to a nearby Rescue Mission to call for help.

Officers responded to the 100 block of Dickerson Street shortly before 9 p.m. on Monday for reports of a stabbing.

Upon arrival, officers found a 41-year-old man who had been stabbed.

He was transported to Upstate and is being treated for non-life threatening injuries.

The incident occurred in the area of S. Clinton Street and Dickerson Street.

Police say the victim was reportedly involved in a dispute with a group of men when the stabbing occurred.

There is no specific suspect information.
