TOWN OF CLAY, N.Y. (WSYR-TV) - A Central New York principal has been charged with a sex crime after he allegedly used Craigslist to have sexual contact with a child under the age of 17.
Adirondack Central School District Middle School principal, 40-year-old Mark Trabucco was charged with two counts of third-degree criminal sex act and endangering the welfare of a child.
Trabucco, who lives in Clay, is accused of making arrangements to meet the victim, who is not a student at his school district, on Craigslist.
The child reported the incident to a family member, leading to his arrest.
He was arraigned in Clay Town Court and was released on his own recognizance.
Trabucco has been placed on administrative leave by the Adirondack School District. The superintendent released the following statement to parents:
