Snow emergency issued for Utica

UTICA, N.Y. (WSYR-TV) - Utica has declared a snow emergency for the city, which will go into effect beginning Wednesday until further notice.

All vehicles must be off the streets by 10 a.m. Wednesday to allow for snow removal and emergency vehicles to safely get through.

This applies to all city streets and there are no exceptions.

Overnight parking permits are not applicable during a snow emergency.

Vehicles left on the roads after 10 a.m. are subject to tickets or towing. 

The city is also urging no unnecessary travel.
