Stabbing at large party

One man has to have surgery

Syracuse, NY (WSYR-TV) - Syracuse Police are investigating a stabbing that happened just after 3:30 Sunday morning. Police were called to the 800 block of Sumner Avenue for a large fight at a party.

At the party they were told a 21-year-old man was stabbed and taken to Crouse Irving Memorial Hospital. The man was stabbed in his neck and was transported to Upstate University Hospital for surgery. He is expected to survive.

Syracuse Police do not have any suspects at this time; anyone with information is asked to contact the Syracuse Police Department at 442-5222. All calls will be kept confidential. Anonymous information may also be submitted by using the “SPD Tips” App, available on Android and iPhones.
