State Police seize drugs, counterfeit bills from Binghamton home

BINGHAMTON, N.Y. (WSYR-TV) - New York State Police have arrested a Binghamton man after they allegedly seized a variety of materials used to package narcotics from his home.

Troopers seized cocaine, marijuana, digital scales, packing materials and a counterfeit $20 bill from 37-year-old Shupin Cooper’s residence.

Also seized was $2,834 in cash.

Cooper was charged with first-degree criminal possession of a forged instrument, seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, second-degree criminal using drug paraphernalia and unlawful possession of marijuana.

He was sent to the Broome County Jail without bail.
