SU announces plans to raise tuition

SYRACUSE, N.Y. (WSYR-TV) - On Wednesday, Syracuse University announced plans to raise tuition by more than $3,000.

The plan will impact incoming students in the fall of 2018.

The University says it's all to raise students' experiences, and will even create more financial aid available.

To pay for it, students will pay a $3,300 "Invest Syracuse" premium every year.

This is in addition to the 3.9 percent tuition increase currently pending approval.
