SUNY Geneseo sophomore dies suddenly

GENESEO, N.Y. (WROC-TV) - SUNY Geneseo sophomore Samual Nichols died suddenly on Saturday in Geneseo. 

Nichols, 20, of Latham, majored in physics and was a member of the Emmalodics a capella group.

"President Battles will be reaching out to Samual’s family and I join with her in extending our sincerest condolences to his family, friends and all who knew him, during this difficult time," said Vice President for Student and Campus Life Robert Bonfiglio.

According to Nichols’ obituary on the Dufresne & Cavanaugh Funeral Home website, his family is planning a “memorial service to celebrate this beautiful soul’s life at a later date and time this summer.”

“During this time of deep sorrow, I trust that we can all find solace in the bonds that connect us as community members in support of each other,” said Bonfiglio.
