Symphoria, fireworks light the night at Lakeview Amphitheater

Independence Day celebration draws large crowd

WSYR-TV - Hundreds of people gathered under the stars at the Lakeview Amphitheater for a night of patriotic tunes and fireworks.

This is the second year in a row where Symphoria performed at the venue on Independence Day before a fireworks show.

Principal pops conductor Sean O’Loughlin lead the Symphoria tonight.

The program included music from Disney movies, Star Wars, and Pirates of the Caribbean.

The program also pays tribute to the national holiday with many patriotic staples, such as Morton Gould’s American Salute, John William’s Hymn to the Fallen, Tchaikovsky’s 1812 Overture, the Armed Forces Salute and others.

Symphoria is joined by the Syracuse Pops Chorus, under the direction of Lou Lemos for this performance.
