Syracuse police and fire departments teaming up to help those impacted by Harvey

Accepting donations until September 21st

SYRACUSE (WSYR-TV) - The Syracuse Police and Fire Departments are teaming up to help the families of Houston, Texas in the wake of Hurricane Harvey.

They'll be collecting donations and other relief items in orange boxes across the city of Syracuse through September 21st.

On Saturday the Syracuse Fire Department shared this message on Facebook.

You can drop-off items at various locations including:

  • The Public Safety Building, located at 511 South State Street, Syracuse
  • All Syracuse Fire Stations
  • Patrol East
  • City Hall Commons
  • All Community Policing Store Fronts
  • Southwest Community Center
  • Northside Community Center at Schiller Park
  • PEACE Eastwood Community Center
  • All 5 City of Syracuse High School SIRP Offices

Organizers tell NewsChannel 9 they have also received interest about teaming up from Fort Drum.
