Syracuse police looking for shooter near shopping plaza

Officers found a man who had been shot in the leg just before 8 p.m.

SYRACUSE (WSYR-TV) - Syracuse police are investigating a shooting, near a shopping plaza on the 600-block of South Geddes Street.

Officers were alerted just before 8 p.m. on Saturday. When they arrived, police met a man in his 20's with a gunshot wound on his leg.

The man was taken to the hospital, where he is expected to recover.

Information about a possible suspect is limited. Police are hoping any possible witnesses may be able to help them.

Officers were told the suspect was wearing dark clothing and left the area in a dark sedan, heading west on Seymour Street.
