SYRACUSE (WSYR-TV) - Two people are recovering this morning after Syracuse Police say a man stabbed his sister and her husband with a box cutter style knife.
Police say the call went out at about 11:49 p.m. last night along the 800-block of Onondaga Avenue.
Officers found a 36-year-old woman who was suffering from a stab wound to her hand and a 32-year-old man who was suffering from a laceration to his face.
The victims were both taken to Upstate University Hospital for treatment. Police say are both expected to recover.
The suspect has been identified as Jesse E. Green Jr., 48, who was suffering from a laceration to his neck that occurred during this incident. Green was initially transported to Community Hospital for treatment, but was later transferred to Upstate University Hospital for further treatment.
Greene is currently recovering at the hospital, according to police.
During the altercation, police say Green accidentally injured himself as well.
Green has been charged with two counts of Assault in the 2nd degree and two counts of Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the 4th degree.
When he is released from the hospital, police say Green will be transported to the Onondaga County Justice Center.
Police are still investigating to figure out what happened before the incident.
