Syracuse Salt Potatoes return to NBT Stadium for Labor Day

SYRACUSE, N.Y. (WSYR-TV) - Due to the popularity of the one-night event, the Syracuse Salt Potatoes will return to the NBT Bank Stadium for their final game of the season.

The name Salt Potatoes originated from the Chiefs' “What If Night" promotion, asking fans what would happen if the Chiefs changed their name for one day.

The team will wear the Salt Potatoes hats and jerseys that they sported in the Aug. 5 win over the Rochester Red Wings.

The debut of the Salt Potatoes saw a crowd of 8,345, the fourth-biggest home crowd of the season.

The Salt Potatoes take on the Buffalo Bisons at 1:05 p.m. on Monday, Sept. 4.

Tickets are available by calling 315-474-7833, by visiting the NBT Bank Stadium Ticket Office, or online at
