Syracuse teen facing 13 years in prison for luring 2 brothers to their deaths

The 17-year-old pleaded guilty to attempted robbery charges

SYRACUSE, N.Y. (WSYR-TV) - One of three teens charged in the double homicide of two brothers has pleaded guilty to her involvement in the incident.

17-year-old Sheahonni Davis pleaded guilty to attempted robbery on Wednesday.

Davis was a part of a group, 23-year-old Curtis Page and 19-year-old Toriano Newson, who police say lured Daniel and Ismael Diaz-Marrero to their deaths through Facebook and text messages.

Police say Davis set up a drug deal between the brothers and the two other men, but knew that Page and Newson intended to rob the brothers instead.

Newson is accused of shooting and killing the two during the robbery on Grant Avenue.

Davis faces 13 years in prison.

The murders happened in the middle of January, marking the first homicides of 2017.

Newson is facing up to life in prison without chance of parole, and Page is facing up to 25 years to life in prison if convicted.
