CLAY (WSYR-TV) - A Clay man has claimed the $10 million prize he won from a scratch-off lottery ticket bought at the Stewart's Shop on Buckley and Morgan roads Easter Sunday.
David Kowalski bought the $30 ticket after winning $50 from another scratch-off earlier in the day.
The $10 million prize is the largest amount of money won from a scratch-off ticket in New York State Lottery history.
"It's been an emotional roller coaster," Kowalski described of the weeks following his win. He bought the ticket while driving home from Easter dinner.
Kowalski's not sure how he is going to spend the money. He opted for the lump sum payment which will net him around $6.5 million.
Two other grand prizes remain from the "$10,000,000 Cash" game that Kowalski played.
