WSYR-TV - A Town of Clay man was sentenced to 23 years in prison in Onondaga County Court Monday morning for the death of his 9-month-old daughter.
In August, Brian Wilson plead guilty to a manslaughter charge. Wilson admitted that he violently shook his daughter Faith Wilson because she would not stop crying. The incident took place in their home on Bonstead Road in October, 2016.
At that time, Onondaga County Sheriff’s investigators say Wilson drove with his daughter and her mother to Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester because Faith Wilson was receiving medical treatment at the facility.
Doctors said the child suffered a severe brain hemorrhage, along with other injuries.
