Two suspects arrested with more than 24lbs. of cocaine hidden in spare tire

SYRACUSE (WSYR-TV) - Two men were arrested Thursday after State Police and the DEA say they found more than 11 kilograms of cocaine in a truck.

Agents got a tip Wednesday that a white Ford F-350 would be transporting a load of drugs along I-81 south.

Both Louie Lazore and Thomas Roundpoint were pulled over around 3:00 p.m.Thursday, after their truck matched the description given to State Police.

Troopers say Lazore claimed he was driving to the state fair and gave permission to search the truck.

A State Police K-9 was able to sniff out the cocaine hidden in a spare tire underneath the bed of the truck.

Lazore and Roundpoint were both charged with possession of a controlled substance with the intent to distribute.
