Unlicensed after hours party leads to 3 arrests

SYRACUSE (WSYR-TV) - Syracuse Police responded to 1060 S. Geddes Street, also referred to as "Flip Money Mansion" just before 2:30 Saturday morning.

According to police, they received information that the establishment was hosting after hours events without proper licensing.

When police arrived, they heard loud music and proceeded to enter the building to conduct a property check.

Once they entered the building, police observed a DJ playing music, people dancing, a bar with alcohol and they smelled a strong odor of marijuana.

Police have determined that the party was hosted by 37-year-old Hasahn Bloodworth of Syracuse.

Bloodworth was unable to provide proper licensing needed to host the event. He was arrested and charged with city ordinances no amusement license, sound reproduction and nuisance party.

Police also spoke with 39-year-old Denise Jones of Syracuse who said that she was providing security for the event and that she was concealing a handgun underneath her clothing. Police say the handgun, a LCP 9mm semi-automatic, was reported stolen out of Lafayette, NY.

According to police, Jones has two warrants in the City of Syracuse for unrelated matters.

Jones was arrested and charged with two counts of criminal possession of a weapon, criminal possession of a firearm, criminal possession of stolen property and unlicensed security guard.

Upon further investigation, 38-year-old Jamar Mike, also of Syracuse, was found to be in possession of 4g of cocaine, 26g of marijuana and two pieces of knotted plastic that contained methamphetamine.

Mike was arrested and charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance, criminal possession of marijuana and unlawful possession of marijuana.

Bloodworth, Jones and Mike were taken to the Onondaga County Justice Center pending their arraignments.
