Utica man charged with burglary almost 4 years after alleged break-in

ONEIDA CAOUNTY (WSYR-TV) - The New Hartford Police Department has charged Richard P. Lee III, 26, of Utica, with burglary following an investigation from an April 2013 incident.

Lee has been charged with burglary in the 2nd degree, a class C felony, grand larceny in the 3rd degree a class D Felony and criminal mischief in the 4th degree a class A misdemeanor. 

The charges were filed following an investigation into a burglary which took place in the Applewood Community in the town of New Hartford, back in April of 2013.

According to New Hartford Patrolman Thomas Hulser -- Lee is accused of breaking into a residence in the Applewood Community and stealing over $3,000 worth of property.

The Utica Police Department assisted in the investigation, which led to Lee’s arrest.

Lee was charged on Feb. 14, and remanded to the Oneida County Jail.
