Vera House: 'Stand with us' to end domestic and sexual violence

2017 White Ribbon Campaign starts March 1

SYRACUSE (WSYR-TV) - Vera House's 2017 White Ribbon Campaign begins on March 1 with a breakfast at the Marriott Syracuse Downtown at 7:30 a.m.

The White Ribbon Campaign was started more than 20 years ago to help fund Vera House education, awareness programs and services.

The primary goal of the campaign is to raise awareness about domestic and sexual violence and the ways our community is working to end that violence.

Members of the White Ribbon Committee are asking participants to pledge to not commit, condone or stay silent about domestic and sexual violence.

The annual walk is set for noon on Friday, March 3. It will begin in Clinton Square.

On Saturday, March 4, you can join Vera House in raising awareness in the back court inside the Dome for the Syracuse University Men's Basketball game. It's also Senior Day as the Orange take on Georgia Tech. Click here for ticket information.

There are a number of White Ribbon Campaign events scheduled throughout the month of March. A full schedule is located on Vera House's website,
