Wanted attempted murder suspect from NYC caught in Fayetteville

FAYETTEVILLE (WSYR-TV) - An attempted murder suspect caught on the run in Fayetteville last week is behind bars tonight in New York City, thanks to help from deputies in central New York.

It was a joint effort between the New York/New Jersey Fugitive Task Force and Onondaga County sheriff's deputies.

The NYPD had a warrant for the arrest of 48-year-old Pamela Buchbinder, a psychiatrist in New York City.

They tracked her down to an address on Salt Springs Road in Fayetteville.

When local deputies checked it out, they say the suspect answered the door.

Buchbinder is accused of convincing a relative to bludgeon her ex-boyfriend several years ago, but he survived.
