Wegmans in Charlottesville donates to first responders

CHARLOTTESVILLE - A post on the Metro Richmond Fire Incident Facebook page on Sunday explains what happened when first responders went into the Charlottesville Wegmans location to pick up food during the protests in Virginia this weekend.

According to the post, first responders went into the Wegmans location to pick up food they had ordered and bring back to crews. When there, Wegmans donated a vehicle full of food and drinks to the first responders.

When asked about the donation, Wegmans spokesperson Jo Natale said that it shows how the company takes to heart the value of making a different in their community.
