CLAY, N.Y. (WSYR-TV) - While it's currently sitting empty, plans are in the works to redevelop the former Macy's at Great Northern Mall.
The company that bought it, Out of the Box Ventures, hasn't decided what will go there.
Local real estate brokerage firm, CBRE, released this statement on their behalf:
"Currently they are in the process of evaluating all of their options relating to the property and will provide additional information and details once a determination has been made."
The broker tells NewsChannel 9, in general, that spaces as large as Macy's are hard to fill with one tenant in the tough retail climate. The company could divide up the space into multiple smaller leasable areas.
