Your Stories: Any changes at the Dome during SU's mumps outbreak?

SYRACUSE (WSYR-TV) - There is no sign of the mumps outbreak slowing down at Syracuse University, with 27 confirmed and 47 probable cases.

So, one NewsChannel 9 viewer wants to know if there is a change in protocol at the Dome, where a lot of people share the same space.

A spokesperson for the Onondaga County Health Department says signs have been posted at the Dome to make sure visitors are aware of mumps on campus.

The messages also advise people to regularly wash hands and avoid sharing drinks.

Health officials feel that's all that needs to be done because mumps is spread by droplets and intimate contact.
