Corrections officer and substitute bus driver in F-M School District arrested on sex charges involving teen

The Onondaga County Sheriff’s Office says they have arrested a a man who works as a corrections officer at the Onondaga County Correctional Facility and also as a substitute bus driver for the Fayetteville-Manlius School District on sex charges involving a teenager.
Manlius (WSYR-TV) - The Onondaga County Sheriff’s Office says they have arrested a a man who works as a corrections officer at the Onondaga County Correctional Facility and also as a substitute bus driver for the Fayetteville-Manlius School District on sex charges involving a teenager.

Deputies say 48-year-old Frank Taylor was arrested Monday morning after an investigation by the Manlius Police Department.

Manlius Police officers responded to Carriage House Apartments in the town of Manlius in search of a 17-year-old runaway from Steuben County.

Police say they spoke with Taylor who, according to officers, said the 17-year-old was not in his apartment.

After conducting an investigation, police say they saw the 17-year-old inside of Taylor’s apartment.

Deputies say Taylor has been charged with Rape in the 3rd Degree, a Class E felony.

According to the Onondaga County Sheriff’s Office, additional charges from the Steuben County Sheriff’s Office are likely.

Taylor was arraigned in the Town of Manlius court and is being held at the Justice Center pending $15,000 cash bail or $30,000 bond.

Taylor is currently employed as a Corrections Officer at Onondaga County Correctional Facility and a substitute bus driver for the Fayetteville-Manlius School District.

The Steuben County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the incident.
