Three-car accident involving tractor trailer sends one to hospital

Scriba (WSYR-TV) – One person was taken to the hospital after a three-car accident in Oswego County on Friday, which deputies described as serious.

The Oswego County Sheriff’s Office says an SUV, a pickup truck and a tractor trailer were involved in the crash, which happened at the intersection of State Route 104, Creamery Road and Klocks Korners Road in the town of Scriba at about 2:01 p.m.

Deputies say the pickup truck was traveling southbound on Creamery Rd, the SUV was traveling northbound on Klocks Korners Road and the tractor trailer was traveling eastbound on State Route 104.

One person was taken to Upstate University Hospital with unidentified injuries.

Deputies say a contributing factor appears to be a vehicle failing to yield the right of way at a stop sign, but that the investigation is still ongoing.
