Five injured in crash in Syracuse

Syracuse Police said officers responded to Hiawatha Boulevard West near Solar Street at about 9:55 a.m.
SYRACUSE (WSYR-TV) - Five people were injured in a crash Sunday morning in Syracuse.

Syracuse Police said officers responded to Hiawatha Boulevard West near Solar Street at about 9:55 a.m.

Police said a 63-year-old man was driving a pick-up truck west on Hiawatha Boulevard when hit an SUV being driven by a 42-year-old woman as he turned south onto Solar Street.

The driver and all four female passengers in the SUV were taken to Upstate University Hospital with what appeared to be non-life threatening injuries.

The passengers were 70, 16, 10 and 7-years-old.

The truck driver was not hurt.

The cause of the crash is under investigation.
