Forestport man pleads guilty after shooting wife to death

The Forestport man who shot his wife to death inside their home in June has pleaded guilty.
Forestport (WSYR-TV) - The Forestport man who shot his wife to death inside their home in June has pleaded guilty.

Oneida County District Attorney Scott McNamara says 49-year-old Larry Utter has pleaded guilty to Murder in the 2nd Degree.

Police say Utter told 911 dispatchers he had accidentally shot his wife, but police determined 45-year-old Stacey Utter had been struck by two shotgun rounds.

Police had been called to the Utters' home at least twice in the past for domestic complaints.

Utter is scheduled to be sentenced in late December.
