Ithaca police investigate home invasion robbery

Detectives are searching for two men who reportedly broke into a home and tried to tie-up the person sleeping inside.

Ithaca (WSYR-TV) - Ithaca police are looking for two men accused of breaking into a home and trying to tie-up the person who was sleeping inside.

The home invasion robbery was reported Sunday morning around 9:30 a.m. along the 400 block of N. Geneva Street.

Investigators believe the men entered the home on a lower level. When the resident woke up, one suspect reportedly displayed a silver handgun, while the other suspect showed a knife.

The victim told police a 19" TV was stolen, along with a Play Station 3 gaming console, a white Macbook laptop computer and an iPhone. 

The suspects are described as:

- A light skinned black male, wearing a dark t-shirt and shorts.

- A dark skinned black male, between 25-30 years of age, with a neatly trimmed goatee, close cropped hair, and wearing a dark blue shirt.
