Liverpool man sentenced to 15 years in prison for child porn

A Liverpool man who had already been convicted on child porn charges in 2003 has been sentenced in a new Federal case.
Syracuse (WSYR-TV) – A Liverpool man who had already been convicted on child pornography charges in 2003 has been sentenced in a new Federal case.

Stephen Bennett, 58, will spend the next 15 years in prison.

He pleaded guilty to new child pornography charges following a 2012 arrest.

According to the U.S. Attorney’s Office, court documents allege that an undercover New York State Police Investigator received three video files from Stephen Bennett through a peer-to-peer file sharing network, which led to a search of Bennett’s home.

During the search, evidence of his receipt and possession of child pornography was found.

In the previous case, Bennett was working as a clerk at the Onondaga County Correctional Facility in Jamesville when a repairman found child pornography on his work computer.
