Liverpool man who was dragged 30 feet by truck dies at hospital

A Liverpool man who was taken to the hospital in critical condition after being dragged 30 feet by a pickup truck has succumbed to his injuries.
Syracuse (WSYR-TV) – A Liverpool man who was taken to the hospital in critical condition after being dragged 30 feet by a pickup truck has succumbed to his injuries.

Upstate University Hospital confirmed on Tuesday that 56-year-old Lyle Tryon had died.

He was admitted to the hospital in late January.

Tryon was struck by a pickup truck while walking in the parking lot outside of the North Medical Center on West Taft Road.

According to the Sheriff’s Office, the driver did not realize she had struck Tryon.

They say their investigation revealed that the incident was an “unfortunate accident” and no one would be ticketed.

Tryon had initially been upgraded to "fair" following the accident.
