LIVERPOOL (WSYR-TV) – A national movement to honor the victims in Boston will include dozens of runners from Central New York.
On Monday, a run called #BostonStrong Syracuse will be held at Onondaga Lake Park. It starts at 6 p.m. by the Salt Museum. Similar runs in cities from California to Maine will be held at the same time.
Susan Brilla of Liverpool learned of the effort online and has been spreading the word since.
“When I checked it, like 50-plus cities were doing it and I said well, you know, I need to get a workout in Monday night, let’s see if a couple runners want to join me and you know, kind of pay honor to the victims that were affected,” said Brilla.
There is no registration, sign-up fee or official distance for the run. Brilla said it will simply be a chance for local runners to get together and pay tribute to the victims.
