Syracuse (WSYR-TV) – New York State Police were on hand to assist Massachusetts State Police in searching for the admitted third victim of a serial killer.

Lewis Lent, who murdered 12-year-old Sara Anne Wood from Herkimer County 20 years ago, admitted to the murder of 16-year-old Jamie Lusher.

Lent led officials to the pond located in Becket but there were no signs of the body.

Lent is already serving a life sentence for the killings of Wood and a young boy named Jimmy Bernardo.

Both New York and Massachusetts State Police dive teams were in the water for six-hours on Tuesday.

Police say they will continue looking for at least two more days.
