Oneida school district fires teacher facing criminal sex charges in Saratoga County

The Oneida City School District has fired a teacher from Fayetteville who is facing sex charges involving a teenage boy in Saratoga County.

Syracuse (WSYR-TV) – The Oneida City School District has fired a teacher from Fayetteville who is facing sex charges involving a teenage boy in Saratoga County.

State Police charged Christopher Yanulavich with criminal sexual act in the third degree, a felony, for an incident involving a 16-year-old that allegedly occurred in April 2013 in Stillwater, NY.

Yanulavich was fired from his teaching position at Willard Prior Elementary School on Friday morning.

He was arrested in the city of Oneida on Wednesday and arraigned in the Town of Malta Court in Saratoga County.

He is being held in Saratoga County jail in lieu of $2,500 cash bail or $5,000 bond.
