Police: Three arrested after Oswego meth lab investigation

Oswego Police say three people were arrested on Wednesday after a methamphetamine laboratory investigation.

Oswego (WSYR-TV) - Oswego Police say three people were arrested on Wednesday after a methamphetamine laboratory investigation.

Investigators with the Oswego City Police Departments Anti-Crime Team responded to a home at 196 Syracuse Ave. in Oswego at about 9:15 a.m. after receiving a tip a meth lab could possibly be operating at the location.

Police say after investigators made contact with the three occupants, they were able to determine a meth lab was in fact located within the home.

Syracuse Ave between South Division and Lawrence streets was closed off while the meth lab was dissembled, according to police.

Police say several one-pot or “Shake and Bake” methamphetamine laboratories and associated materials were seized along with more than 10 ounces of methamphetamine oil.

The following people were arrested and have been charged with the following:

37-year-old Frederick Carvey III:
  • Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the 2nd Degree, a Class A II felony
  • Unlawful Manufacture of Methamphetamine in the 3rd Degree, a Class D felony
32-year-old Zechariah Morrison:
  • Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the 2nd Degree, a Class A II felony
  • Unlawful Manufacture of Methamphetamine in the 3rd Degree, a Class D felony
23-year-old Brittaney Perkins:
  • Endangering the Welfare of a Child, a Class A misdemeanor
Perkins was issued an appearance ticket and is to return to Oswego City Court on Thursday Jan. 2nd and was then turned over to Fulton City Police on an outstanding bench warrant.

Police say Carvey was wanted on a bench warrant issued out of Oswego County Drug Court.

Carvey and Morrison are being held pending their arraignment in Oswego City Court.
