Police identify truck driver injured in deadly crash in Rochester

New York State Police has identified the truck driver injured, but withheld the name of the driver killed in a deadly accident on a major route through the Rochester area.

Brighton (WSYR-TV) – New York State Police has identified the truck driver injured, but withheld the name of the driver killed after a deadly accident on a major route through the Rochester area occurred Monday afternoon.

State Police say 25-year-old Daniel Baker of Wyoming, New York is in satisfactory condition at Strong Hospital.

According to reports, a tanker truck was traveling west on I-490 in the town of Brighton and onto a ramp to Route 590 north.

Police say the vehicle rolled over a concrete barrier and onto 590, where it collided with a box truck traveling north.

The accident was reported around 1 p.m.

Police do not know why the vehicle left the ramp.

The tanker truck was carrying liquefied food waste.
