Police identify two injured on motorcycle in Manlius crash

Police have identified the man and a woman riding a motorcycle who were injured after a crash with a pickup truck Sunday night.
Manlius (WSYR-TV) – Police have identified the man and a woman riding a motorcycle who were injured after a crash with a pickup truck Sunday night.

The crash happened shortly before 8:30 p.m. near the corner of Minoa-Schepps Corners Road and Myers Road in Manlius.

The driver of the 2010 Harley-Davidson motorcycle, 59-year-old Thane Krahl of Bridgeport, was taken to University Hospital where he is listed in serious condition, according to Manlius Police.

Police say the passenger on the motorcycle, 59-year-old Jacqueline Krahl of Bridgeport, was also taken to University Hospital where she is listed in stable condition

The driver of the 2000 GMC pickup truck, 62-year-old Mark Bendura of Bridgeport, was not injured, according to police.

Police are still investigating the exact cause of crash, but say it appears both vehicles were traveling north on Minoa-Schepps Corners Road when the pickup truck made a turn onto Myers Road. The motorcycle then hit the passenger side of the truck, the initial investigation found.

No tickets have been issued at this time.
