DeWitt (WSYR-TV) - DeWitt Police are asking you to be "On The Lookout" for a woman who robbed two college students after flagging them down and jumping into their cars.

The first incident happened on August 3, as a Le Moyne College senior was leaving the college's Parking Lot D on Springfield Road. That's when police say a woman in magenta scrubs, ran towards the victim's car yelling for help.

The victim says the suspect jumped into the passenger side of the vehicle and became very demanding. She directed the victim to drive to the Key Bank on West Colvin and South Salina Street and ordered her to withdraw money from the ATM.

"She described her as very aggressive, to the point where she told her what lane to drive in and what speed to go, " said DeWitt police detective Tom Regan.

The suspect was also caught on tape at the Middle Eastern Market where she purchased juice, telling the Le Moyne college student she needed a drink so she could take her medicine.

The victim wasn't hurt.

DeWitt police say the same suspect, again dressed in magenta scrubs, jumped into the vehicle of a 19-year-old Syracuse University sophomore on Friday, September 7 while the student was stopped at a light on East Colvin Street. The victim says she handed over money to the suspect.

The second student was also not harmed.

The suspect was caught on tape prior to the first incident at a Le Moyne campus cafe. DeWitt police ask that you take a good look at the surveillance video and contact them if you know who she is.

"Very concerned with the fact she's willing to jump into someone's vehicle, and she is targeting young females. It's happened twice in one month and we are concerned it may continue until she is identified,” said DeWitt Detective Tom Regan.

The woman is approximately 5-foot-7, with a heavy build. She told one of the victims that she’s pregnant.
