SPCA: Dog found with severe leg wound, extremely emaciated

The Cortland County SPCA says a dog found in the town of Homer is extremely emaciated and one of its hind legs is so damaged it will need to be amputated.
Homer (WSYR-TV) – The Cortland County SPCA says a dog found in the town of Homer is extremely emaciated and one of its hind legs is so damaged it will need to be amputated.

The dog, which the agency named “Champ,” was found on Park Road in the rural community.

They say surgery on the dog will need to be delayed because of its poor health.

The SPCA estimates that the Rottweiler/German shepherd mix is 2 years old.

The SPCA’s law-enforcement department is investigating the case.
